Treatment Programming Services

Overview

Each individual engaging in treatment services at Effective Living Center, Inc. will receive a comprehensive substance use disorder assessment, a mental health diagnostic assessment, and an individual therapy session. This aids in identifying personal concerns, problems, and strengths relating to substance abuse and/or mental health issues. It is during these sessions you develop your initial treatment plan which will include the groups and individual sessions you may be attending. Treatment can consist of attending one day a week to five days per week based on clinical needs. It is important to know your treatment plan/program is reviewed on a regular basis and adjusted as you meet clinical milestones. Below are various services you might engage in during your program:

Primary Co-occurring Disorders (Substance Use/Mental Health)

Primary programming consists of two phases, Phase I and Phase II.   Frequency and duration of group programming is based on clinical need generally starting at three or four groups per week and stepping down to one group per week.  Many components of the program are self propelled, meaning you move forward as you complete your assignments.   Individual sessions are scheduled throughout the program. Focus of primary programming consists of group therapy, educational lectures, personal assignments and individual sessions.  Most individuals complete both phases in approximately 16 to 24 weeks.

Relapse Prevention

Relapse prevention is a highly individualized program with two phases consisting of group therapy, educational lectures, personal assignments and individual sessions. It is for the individual who has previously completed a primary treatment program, was in recovery for a minimum of two years, then returned to use. Frequency and duration of programming is based on clinical need with a focus on relapse prevention skills.

Aftercare/Continuing Care

The duration consists of eight modules and the individual advances from one module to the next as they successfully complete each component. Individuals can attend this group in conjunction with their treatment programming or as an independent service.
